Nisbit Two-state deaths Harold Gudmundson WHALAN, Minn. Harold Gudmundson, 75, died at his home Saturday (Feb. 15, 1986) of an apparent heart attack. He was born July 30, 1910 in Fillmore County to Carl and Inga Hungerholt Gudmundson. He farmed in Norway Township.

He married Judith Olson Sept. 12, 1934, in Peterson, Minn. He was member of the Highland Prairie Lutheran Church and served on the church council. He was a Norway township board member for more than 30 years, a former Maland School board member and a member Highland Prairie Lutheran brotherhood. Survivors are his wife; one son, Curtis of Whalan; one daughter, Mrs.

Glendon (Marilyn) Schiebsted of Stewartville, five grandchidren, one brother, Miner of Whalan; two sisters, Mrs. Einer (Lillie) Erickson of Rushford and Mrs. Charlotte Tudahl of Peterson, Minn. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson, the Rev.

Mary Dreier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Cook Funeral Home in Rushford from 6-9 p.m. Monday and from 9-noon Tuesday and at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

Pallbearers are Robert and Paul Erickson, Gary Tudahl, Roger Johnson, Maynard and Jerome Gudmundson. Honorary pallbearers are Palmer Peterson, Obert Halverson, John Kahoun, Ralph Anfinson, Roger Trester and LeRoy Johnson. Gladys Narveson SPRING GROVE, Minn. Gladys Narveson, 84, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1986) at Tweeten Hospital in Spring Grove, where she had been a resident the past five years.

She was born May 2, 1901, in Spring Grove to Narva and Hannah Rosendahl Narveson. She attended Winona Normal Teachers Training School and served as a rural school teacher for a number of years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Lutheran Church Woman and the Golden Age group. Survivors are one sister-in-law, Inga Narveson, several cousins. Two brothers and one sister have died.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Timothy Bauer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery: Friends may call at the Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove Monday afternoon and evening and at the church one hour before the service. Pallbearers are Charles Peterson, Owen Hagen, Jennings Johnson, Selmer Haugland, Gary Hanson and Melvin Larson.

Harry J. Laska WABASHA, Minn. Harry John Laska, 83, of Sand Prairie, rural Wabasha, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1986) at his home of heart problems. He was born Dec.

25, 1903, in Winona to Joseph and Catherine Szyepanska Laska. On Aug. 17, 1926, he married Helen Eaton in Winona. She died in August 1959. where he worked for Swift and The couple ed lived in Winona, in Cleveland, where he worked for the Aluminum Company of America; in Racine, where he worked for J.I.

Case and in Minneapolis, where he worked as an independently contracting stonemason. He moved to Wabasha to retire in 1960. Survivors are: five daughters, Katherine of Kellogg, Gloria of Ft. Meyers, Mrs. Richard (Grace) Frederickson of Saginaw, Barbara of Washington, D.C., and Patricia of Wabasha; four sons, James of Inver Grove Heights, Thomas and David of Minneapolis, and Richard of Kiel, 20 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and a brother, Julius of Wabasha.

Eight sisters and six brothers have died. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Felix Catholic Church, the Rev. J.

Richard Feiten officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday and until 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Buckman-Schierts Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.

She was born April 4, 1923, in Masonville, Iowa, to Clifford and Ida Letts. She lived in the Nelson, and. Pepin areas, and in 1961 married Harry West. He died in 1971. She was a housewife.

Survivors are two brothers, Russell of Bradley, and Lavern of Eau Claire, Wis. Four brothers and a sister have died. funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stohr-Hagen Funeral Home, Alma, Thomas Elliot of the Nelson Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m.

until the funeral Tuesday at the funeral home. Winona deaths Lenora H. Heise Lenora H. Heise, 85, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1986) at the Sauer Memorial Home, where she had been living.

She was. born June 11, 1900, in Winona to Robert and Ella Harders Sielaff. She married Elmer H. Fiedler April 18, 1922, in Winona. He died Oct.

9, 1938, and she then married Frederick Heise on Dec. 14, 1944, in Winona. He died May 6, 1967. A housewife and a lifelong Winona resident, she was a member of St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Doris) Baart Jr. of Ocala, a sister, Mrs. Bruce (Margaret) Rand of Winona; and seven nieces and nephews. A brother and a sister have died: A funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Monday at the Fawcett Funeral Home, the Rev. Michael Fox of St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the funeral at the funeral home.

Memorials are being suggested for the Sauer Memorial Home. Roger Coldagelli Roger "Red" Coldagelli, 69, of Winona died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1985) at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis. He was born March 7, 1916, in Eveleth, to Anthony and Savina Ferri Coldagelli. He.

married Gwen Brach Nov. 29, 1952, in Freeport, Ill. The lived in since Roger Coldagelli He attended Eveleth Junior College and Marquette University in Milwaukee, where he was a football letterman for three years, graduating in 1940. He served in the Navy during World War II as a chief petty officer aboard the U.S.S. Hornet.

He retired in 1973 from a 30- year career with the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Winona Civic Association, and the Elks Lodge. He was president of the Marquette University Club from 1971 to 1973, received the club's Man of the Year award in 1973, was a former president of the Military Veterans of the Internal Revenue Service of Milwaukee, and served as chairman of the Town of Winchester, from 1974 to 1976. Survivors are his wife; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Mary Coldagelli of West Allis, a sister and brother-in-law, Andresa and Tom Stevens of Savannah, a sister-in-law, Maxine Coldagelli of Duluth, and 15 nephews and nieces. A brother has died.

He will be cremated, and his remains will be buried in St. Mary's Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in Winona at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Burke Funeral Home. Mabel Mann Mabel Mann, 87, of 1056 W.

Wabasha died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1986) at Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending with Fawcett Funeral Home. cuts power APPLETON, Wis. (AP) A twohour power outage affecting about 20,000 utility customers in the Fox River Valley area Saturday evening might have been caused by a curious squirrel, a utility spokesman said.

"It apparently could have been a small animal like a squirrel or something that got into the equipment and caused a short that out three substation transformers," said Chuck Ziegler of Wisconsin Electric Power Co. He said the problem in a "bulk substation" at Appleton was corrected by about 10:30 p.m., about two hours after it occurred and plunged the area into darkness. "As far as they can determine, there was some report of a flash, which would indicate a short of some kind," he said. Ziegler said about 20,000 customers were affected by outage. The unit returned at 4:15 2:37 p.m. Rescue unit sent to 753 Bluffview Circle, in response to a man with unknown medical problems. The man was given oxygen and his vital signs were checked. The unit returned at 3:05 p.m. 3:42 p.m.

RIVER REGION UDGATE Independence man charged with forgery WHITEHALL, Wis. Jewell Conner, rural.

Independence, charged with three counts of forgery, stood mute at his arraignment in Trempealeau. County Court. Circuit Court Judge Richard Galstad entered a plea of not guilty for him. Connor, 61, represented by public defender Stephen Andersen, is free on a $10,000 cash bond. Connor's casewas placed on the court's pre-trial calendar.

Connor is charged with cashing a forged money order Jan. 16 at the State Bank of Arcadia. He also allegedly attempted to cash a second money order at the Independence State Bank Jan. 23, and was arrested that day after attempting to cash a forged check at the Union Bank of Blair.
