Local observations on Highway 61 two miles south of Lamoille at 6:45 swerved to avoid two deer on the highway. The 1973 car went into a ditch and rolled over. Betsinger was not injured. The car as termed a total loss. Saturday A vehicle operated by Mark Brown, Rochester, went out of control at 1:51 a.m.

and went into a ditch off CSAH 29 in Mount Vernon Township. While Brown attempted to free the car from the ditch with a bumper jack, it rolled over. There were no injuries, but the 1972 car was declared a total loss. Milo Billman, 609 W. Wabasha reported that his vehicle rolled over on Wiscoy Township Road 9 southeast of Wilson, Minn.

There were no injuries, and further details were not available. BUFFALO COUNTY Sunday Drivers and passengers in a two-car accident Sunday at 9:40 a m. on a town road a quarter mile north of Highway 95 near Fountain City were treated and released from St. Joseph Hospital, Arcadia. The Rev.

Richard C. Kraemer, WHitehall, Wis was southbound on the Town Road, and Andrew H. Herold Cochrane, northbound, when the left front of the cars collided on the hill crest. The Overhouse vehicle sustained $300 in damages, and the Richmond vehicle $250. Vehicles driven by Jeffrey Mueller, 3830 W. 5th and Michael Ties, Altura, collided as they met on Highway 14 about two miles west of Highway 61.

According to a sheriff's report, the Ties vehicle did not stop after the collision. There were no injuries and damage estimates were unavailable. Drivers were not injurea in a two-car accident at 6:40 p.m. on Highway 61 in Minnesota City. John W.

Laska, Minnesota City, was making a north turn off Service Drive onto Highway 61 and Michael W. Brown, Anoka, was northbound on Highway 61. Steve Kulas, West Burns Valley Road, reported a similar incident involving two bicycles parked at the YMCA. WINONA COUNTY Sunday George Buss, Altura, reported that his mailbox was run over, causing an estimated $50 damage.

Dan Hoyt, Hidden Valley, reported a similar incident with his mailbox on Friday, with damage estimated at $25. Other weekend incidents involving mailbox damage were reported by Pat Maroushek, Rollingstone, and Henry Jacobs, Minnesota City. Saturdav Bill Knee, 865 49th Good view, reported that the windshield of his vehicle was damaged with a rock that had been thrown. An estimate of damage was not available. Friday Albert Arvidson, Minnesota City, reported that a rock was thrown through a window in his house, causing an estimated $50 in damage.

Accidents CITY Today A vehicle driven by Joel Dennis, 417 Hamilton struck a parked car owned by Terry Chadwick, 850 E. 3rd St. The accident occurred at 1:14 a m. near the intersection of Chat-field and 3rd streets. Sunday Deann Denzer, 18.

Minnesota City, was listed in "fairly good condition" today at Community Memorial Hospital with facial injuries after being involved in a one-vehicle accident at 3:40 a.m. According to police, her vehicle was westbound on West Broadway when it left the roadway and struck a tree near McBnde Street. She was taken to the hospital by Praxel ambulance. An estimate of damage to her vehicle was not available. A vehicle owned by Diane Peterson, 1292 W.

3rd was found in a ditch on the east side of Huff Street by city police at 1 :55 am. She reported the vehicle stolen at 12:26 a.m. An estimate of damage was unavailable. A vehicle owned by Fred Pilger. 1416 W.

5th was struck by a hit and run vehicle while parked at his residence. An estimate of damage was not available. A vehicle driven by Marty Jacobsen, Cochrane, struck two street signs, veered across Mrs. Catherine Losinski DODGE, Wis. Mrs.

Catherine D. Losinski, 86, Dodge, a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church and its organizations, died Sunday at 6:25 a m. at Marinuka Manor, Galesville, Wis. The daughter of John and Agatha Prondzinski Meyer, she was born in Winona, Oct. 25, 1894.

She married Jacob Losinski June 7, 1910, at St. Stanislaus Church, Winona. He died Oct. 25, 1966 She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters Mrs. Catherine" D.

Losinski it Survivors sons, Harry are: three Roman and Eugene, Arcadia, four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Jaszewski Mrs. Fred (Cecelia) Brandt and Mrs. Chauncey (Therese) Kline, Dodge, and Mrs. Edward (Paula) Rogalla, Milwaukee; 17 grandchildren, 29 greatgrandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs.

Mary Meisch, Lewiston, Minn. A daughter has died. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Watkowski Funeral Home, Winona, and at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Dodge, the Rev.

Edward Stanek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call today from 2-4 m. and after 7 m. at the funeral home where a Rosary will be said at 8.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Oliver Hawkenson WHITEHALL, Wis. -Oliver Hawkenson, 77, Whitehall, who barbered at Whitehall when he was a young man, then farmed in the Chimney Rock area. Eleva Rt. 2.

until retiring, died today at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, Wis. The son of Hawkin and Marie Melsness Hawkenson, he was born in Chimney Rock, July 9, 1903. He married Agnes Halvorson, Dec. 15, 1928, at Winona. She died in February 1961.

He was a lifelong member of Chimney Rock Lutheran Church and had served on several of its boards. Survivors are: a son, Gerald, Eau Claire; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Beverly) Brey and Mrs. Gordon (Mary) Peterson, Whitehall, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m.

at Chimney Rock Lutheran Church, the Rev. Alvin Thoreson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., and at the church Wednesday from 9 a m. until the service.

Ervin Kenitz LAKE CITY. Minm. -Ervin Kenitz. 74. who farmed with his parents near Elgin.

until 1947 when he moved here, died at his home Friday. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kenitz, he was born in Olmsted County, Aug. 26, 1906 Survivors are cousins.

Minnesota City, well-known to students at Minnesota City School where she was a cook and currently served lunches, died of an apparent heart attack Sunday in the emergency room of Community Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of Jay and Cecelia Blim Curtis, she was born at Kellogg. April 29, 1920. She married Melvin Hohensee, Feb. 8, 1940, at Decorah, Iowa. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minnesota City, its ladies aid, Sauer Memorial Home Auxiliary'.

Winona, and Deloughery Rest Home Auxiliary, Lewiston, Minn. Survivors are: her husband; a son, Richard. Minnesota City; two daughters. Mrs. Wayne (Carol) Hanson, Minnesota City, and Mrs.

Robert (Diane) Keller, Lakeland, Minn. nine grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Curtis, Lewiston, and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Haner, Minnesota City, and Mrs. James (Betty) Wadewitz. Stockton, Minn.

A son and two brothers have died. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, the Rev. John Nolte officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

(Special) Allen Van Minsel, 46, Orange, Buffalo City, native and former resident in the Spring Grove area, died of cancer Saturday at Orange. He was a heavy equipment operator employed by John Fulton Orange. The son of Mr.

and Mrs. August Van Minsel, he was born at Buffalo City, Feb. 25. 1934 He was a Korean War veteran. Survivors are: his wife, Phyllis; his father, Caledonia.

Merritt CALEDONIA. Minn. -Mrs. Bernice Merritt, 73, Caledonia, a devoted mother, died at 4 p.m. Saturday of a heart attack.

She was born Feb. 1, 1907, in Caledonia to Peter and Catherine (Mersch) Mechtel. She moved to Detroit, returning in 1965. Survivors are two daughters, Caroline and Karen, Detroit; three brothers, Heron, Leroy and Norman, Caledonia; and five sisters, Mrs. Anna Schmitz, Caledonia, Mrs.

Henry (Delrose) Thery. La Crescent, Mrs. Isabel Eckholt and Mrs. Emmett (Erma) Heyer, Waterloo. Iowa, and Mrs.

Ward (Lepne) Lee, Brownsville, Minn. A sister and a brother have died. Funeral services will be held at 10 a m. Tuesday at the Steffen Funeral Home, Caledonia, and at 10:30 a m. at St.

Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Francis P. Kunz officiating. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a rosary said at 8 p.m.
